USEFUL FOR MELTING :

Cast iron/Malleable/S.G.Iron/Mild Steel/Low Alloy Steels/Brass, Copper, etc.

METHOD OF INSTALLATION :

For Only Type Sil-Ram Dry Silica Ramming Masses.

The Ramming Mass is to be pre-heated in a clean tray to a temperature of about 80°C to 90°C   for removal of any moisture present.

It is important to ensure that the Ramming Mass is not contaminated with impurities during this reheating operating.

After cooling below 40°C the Ramming Mass is to be mixed uniformly with Boric Acid Binder.

The percentage of Boric Acid will vary between 0.8% to 2.0% depending upon the operating temperature.  For cast  iron melting furnaces Boric Acid percentage is 1.4 to 1.5 and for steel melting furnace it is 1-1.2%.
